I lived in the US for 6 years before I got this offer to do research towards my PhD. Was always interested in living on the other side of the pond and the natural appeal of Norway was too much to resist.
It has been one of the best decisions we ever made.
The reason why I wrote it was, being a "non-believer", I wanted to try to understand the rationale behind certain religious symbols we take for granted, but are actually more cultural symbols with a meaning that has long outlived its purpose.

But,sadly,back here in India you would be labelled a "Communalist" for merely having mentioned the word "Hindu".
